Instead of accepting that frustration as normal, we set out to engineer a better solution. After years of design, prototyping, and real-world testing, SandWinders introduced the BeachRover XL and our patent-pending 10-inch Tri-Flex™ wheel.
Designed to Solve a Real Problem
One beach trip led to one simple question:
Why are beach wagons so difficult to pull through sand?
That question started years of engineering, prototyping, testing, and refinement that eventually became SandWinders.
Instead of accepting that beach wagons had to sink into soft sand, we challenged the assumption. We believed the problem wasn't the wagon itself. It was the wheel. That simple shift in thinking led us down a path of designing, testing, and refining a completely different approach.
Today, SandWinders is built on the same principle that started it all: identify the real problem, engineer a thoughtful solution, and never stop improving.
Reinventing the Wheel
The Problem

The Solution
After months of research, engineering, and real-world testing, we looked beyond the beach wagon industry for inspiration. We studied how other industries solved similar challenges involving weight distribution, flexibility, and soft terrain, then combined those ideas into a completely new approach. That's how the patent-pending Tri-Flex™ wheel was born.
The Result
The BeachRover XL is our first product built on the SandWinders philosophy: identify the real problem, challenge assumptions, and engineer thoughtful solutions. As we continue to grow, that same approach will guide every product we create.
